Myoko Construction and the Future of the Suginosawa Resort Area

妙高市杉野沢。妙高山の麓に広がるこの地域は、豊かな自然と良質な雪に恵まれ、国内外から多くのスキーヤーや観光客が訪れる場所です。

Suginosawa, Myoko City, is nestled at the foot of Mount Myoko. Blessed with beautiful natural surroundings and some of Japan's finest powder snow, the area attracts skiers and visitors from both Japan and overseas.

現在、この杉野沢エリアでは、新たなリゾート開発や住宅・宿泊施設の建築が進み、街の風景にも少しずつ変化が見られるようになってきました。

Today, new resort developments, residential buildings and accommodation projects are gradually taking shape, bringing noticeable changes to the landscape of Suginosawa.

今回は、私たち妙高建設が建築工事を請け負わせていただいている現場と、その周辺の様子をご紹介します。

杉野沢の道路沿いでは、新しい建物の建築が進んでいます。既に完成している建物の隣で新たな工事が進むなど、これまでの街並みに新しい景色が加わりつつあります。

Along the roads of Suginosawa, new buildings are steadily taking shape. With new construction projects appearing alongside completed properties, the familiar streetscape is gradually gaining a new character.

私たちが現場を訪れるたびに、少しずつ変わっていく街の様子を感じることができます。

Every time we visit our construction sites, we can see how the area is gradually changing and developing.

Buildings Under Construction and Newly Completed Homes

現在施工中の建物では、外壁や開口部などの工事が進んでいます。

At our current project sites, work is progressing on the exterior walls, windows and other important elements of the buildings.

妙高のような積雪地域では、見た目のデザインだけでなく、冬の厳しい環境に対応できる建物づくりが欠かせません。

In a heavy snowfall region like Myoko, good architecture is about more than appearance. Buildings must also be designed to withstand the demanding winter conditions.

積雪への配慮、断熱性能、暖房計画、日々のメンテナンス性など、地域の気候を理解したうえで、一つひとつの工程を進めています。

Snow load considerations, insulation performance, heating systems and ease of maintenance are all important factors. Our local knowledge helps us address these requirements throughout the construction process.

完成した建物と現在施工中の建物が並ぶ風景からも、この地域に新しい建築が加わっていく様子をご覧いただけます。

The contrast between completed buildings and those still under construction offers a glimpse of how the area is gradually taking on a new appearance.

世界から注目される妙高・杉野沢

Myoko and Suginosawa Gaining International Attention

杉野沢エリアでは、ペイシャンス・キャピタル・グループ（PCG）による大規模なマウンテンリゾート開発も進められています。

A major mountain resort development led by Patience Capital Group (PCG) is also progressing in the Suginosawa area.

その中心となる計画の一つが、国際的なホテルブランド「Six Senses（シックスセンシズ）」のホテルとレジデンスです。

One of the key projects is the planned Six Senses hotel and residences, bringing an internationally recognised hospitality brand to the region.

こうした開発をきっかけに、今後は海外からの長期滞在者や別荘を所有する方、国内外の旅行者など、さまざまな人々がこの地域を訪れることが期待されています。

With these developments, we expect Myoko to attract an increasingly diverse range of visitors, including international travellers, long-stay guests and overseas property owners.

それに伴い、宿泊施設だけでなく、周辺の住宅や貸別荘、商業施設などにも新たな可能性が広がっていくのではないでしょうか。

This may also create new opportunities beyond hotels and resorts, including private residences, holiday homes and local businesses.

最近では海外のお客様からの別荘や貸別荘のご相談も増えており、それぞれの用途やご希望に合わせた建築にも携わっています。

We are also receiving more enquiries from international clients interested in building private holiday homes and rental villas. We work closely with each client to create buildings that suit their individual needs and intended use.

これから数年、杉野沢周辺の景色はさらに変わっていくことでしょう。

As new hotels and facilities emerge and more visitors arrive from around the world, it will also be important to preserve the local way of life, natural environment and traditions that make this area special.

We believe the future of Myoko depends on finding the right balance between welcoming new development and protecting the qualities that make this region unique.
